Since 2008, Synovo Group has been working with
medical professionals to provide concrete solutions to their problems.

Founding of New Web

The Synovo Group is first and foremost the story of its founder, Jérémy WIES, and his entrepreneurial drive to help companies make the digital transition. He started his own company in Strasbourg while still a student.

Determined to support small and medium sized companies in their IT development, Jérémy embarked on a business creation project aimed at simplifying the management of its customers’ IT assets, infrastructure, telephony and server hosting. At the age of 18, with the help of his family and his school, he founded the company New Web and opened a shop selling computer equipment in Altkirch, Alsace.

Dedicated to improving his customers’ daily operations, Jérémy WIES has always listened to their needs. This approach quickly led New Web to win local medical transporters as customers, who required flawless responsiveness and 24/7 maintenance support.

Creation of Synovo

In 2010, after multiple discussions with entrepreneurs in regards to existing market solutions, they were considered inadequate and incapable to address the main challenges faced by ambulance companies and their employees. By this reason, Jérémy WIES had the idea to develop a software dedicated to non-emergency medical transportation industry.

While studying for his Master of Science in International Computer Science, Jérémy decided to present this idea at the Start-Up Weekend in Strasbourg.

He was joined by two of his classmates who were to become his partners: Guillaume PHILIPP and Michel LACOMBE.

After their victory, the project was incubated by SEMIA, the Alsace incubator. The potential of the project was soon recognised by winning several innovation competitions. In 2013, they decided to register Synovo in order to make their project a reality. Since then, the company has continued to grow and innovate thanks to the investment of Jérémy, Michel and Guillaume, Chairman and Managing Directors respectively.

Establishment of the group

In July 2019, the company’s shareholders elected to initiate a new strategic phase by merging Synovo and New Web.

This strategic move resulted in the formation of a unified entity, Synovo Group, which capitalizes on the established synergies between the two companies.

Subsequent to this merger, the management team initiated the process of obtaining ISO 27001 and Health Data Hosting (HDS) certification.

In a context of perpetual evolution of digital services and associated threats, information security is taking on a predominant role in all business sectors. Recognizing these challenges, Jérémy, Guillaume, and Michel strategically prioritized information security as a core strength for Synovo Group.

After more than a year of dedicated efforts, including the implementation of robust procedures and the modification of operational routines, Synovo Group successfully obtained ISO 27001 and HDS certification on April 21, 2020.

Synovo Group - North America

In 1990, Services Informatiques SYM Inc. was founded in Québec by technology enthusiasts. The company pioneered several operational and automation concepts, developing software solutions that revolutionized emergency services tools and methods in Québec.

In 2020, Synovo Group entered the Canadian market through a partnership with a key client looking to implement Rubis Health, a solution for managing hospital transfers and discharges. This strategic milestone marked the establishment of the first international subsidiary of Synovo Group: Groupe Synovo Canada Inc. This initial foray into the Canadian market demonstrated a commitment to delivering advanced healthcare management solutions on a global scale.In 2022, Synovo Group continued its transatlantic expansion with the acquisition of Services Informatiques SYM Inc.

As we look to the future, a new chapter begins at the end of 2024 with the merger of Groupe Synovo Canada Inc. and Groupe Synovo SYM Inc., creating a unified and strengthened entity: Synovo Group North America.
