Establishment of the company New Web

Synovo Group is, above all, the story of its founder, Jérémy WIES, and his desire to launch a business and support companies in their digital transition. It was in Strasbourg, while he was still a student, that he created his own company.

Determined to support small and medium-sized businesses in their IT development, Jérémy embarked on a business creation project aimed at simplifying the management of his clients’ IT assets, infrastructure, telephony, and server hosting. At just 18 years old, with the support of his family and school, he founded the company New Web and opened a computer hardware store in Altkirch, Alsace.

Dedicated to improving the daily operations of his clients, Jérémy WIES always listened to their needs. This approach quickly led New Web to acquire local medical transporters as clients, who required flawless responsiveness and 24/7 maintenance support.

Establishment of the company Synovo

In 2010, after numerous discussions with business owners about existing solutions—which they deemed unsuitable and incapable of addressing many of the challenges faced by ambulance companies and their employees—the idea of developing medical transport software took root in Jérémy WIES’s mind.

While pursuing his Master of Science in International Computer Science, Jérémy decided to pitch this idea at the Start-Up Weekend in Strasbourg. He was joined by two classmates who would become his partners: Guillaume PHILIPP and Michel LACOMBE.

Following their victory, the project was incubated by SEMIA, the Alsace-based startup incubator. The project’s potential quickly became undeniable as it won several innovation competitions. In 2013, to bring their vision to life, they officially registered the company Synovo. Since then, thanks to the dedication of Jérémy, Michel, and Guillaume—serving as President and Managing Directors respectively—the company has continued to grow and innovate.

Formation of the group

In July 2019, the shareholders of the company decided to undertake a new strategic shift: the merger of Synovo and New Web.

Thus, the two companies, which were already closely linked, became one—Synovo Group—creating unprecedented synergies.

Following this merger, the leadership team decided to pursue ISO 27001 and Health Data Hosting (HDS) certifications.

In a constantly evolving digital services landscape, with increasing associated threats, information security has become a priority across all sectors. Aware of these challenges, Jérémy, Guillaume, and Michel made Information Security a hallmark of Synovo Group.

On April 21, 2020, after more than a year of effort, process implementation, and operational adjustments, Synovo Group achieved ISO 27001 and HDS certifications.

Synovo Group - North America

In 1990, Services Informatiques SYM Inc. was founded in Québec by technology enthusiasts. Pioneering several operational and automation concepts, SYM Inc. developed software solutions that revolutionized emergency services tools and methods in Québec.

In 2020, Synovo Group entered the Canadian market through a partnership with a key client looking to implement Rubis Santé, a solution for managing hospital transfers and discharges. This milestone marked a strategic shift for Synovo Group, which then established its first international subsidiary: Groupe Synovo Canada Inc. This initial step in Canada demonstrated a commitment to delivering advanced healthcare management solutions on a global scale.

In 2022, Synovo Group continued its transatlantic expansion by acquiring Services Informatiques SYM Inc.

At the end of 2024, a new chapter begins with the merger of Groupe Synovo Canada Inc. and Groupe Synovo SYM Inc. This fusion creates a unified and strengthened entity: Synovo Group North America.
